London S/S 09: Christopher Kane

Arh.. Another designer to look out in London fashion week would have to be Christopher Kane. Last season he had a marine show of hanging "scales" and on sweaters, and now, things seems to be dynamically MUCH bigger.







Not a fan of the Leopard prints, but aggressive high quality gorilla prints are amusing yet artistically brillant.

No hurry to point out the obvious enlargements of the "scales" from last season, but they were uniformly packed and pieced into the garments (much like ruffles) which creates such interesting silhouettes.

And also, a big repeated trend this season, embroideries over sheer fabrics, are replaced with fur straps patterns.
